The Gulf Coast town of Biloxi, Mississippi is known for its oceanfront casinos and hotels. But the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is a step above the rest. First opened in 1999, the name Beau Rivage was actually first proposed for the Bellagio in Las Vegas , also owned by MGM Resorts, and means “beautiful shore.” This luxury property was damaged heavily in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina, but reopened a year later and now soars 29 floors above the coast.
The sprawling property boasts over 1,700 rooms, each of varying size and view from 400 to 1,200 square feet. Each one has large windows, comfortable bedding, work desks, mini fridges, coffee makers, and luxurious toiletries in the bathrooms. Some rooms are even pet friendly! All also have free WiFi.
If you’re into gaming, there’s something for you, from table games to video poker. But even if you aren’t, enjoy the shopping at onsite boutiques, not to mention the countless bars and restaurants. Dining options include the buffet, a steakhouse, Italian fare, seafood, Asian, ice cream, and coffee. The resort also hosts top-name acts, including comedians and musicians.
The pool and hot tub complex is open to all guests, depending on the weather. The fitness center is located inside the spa, which requires additional fees for services. There’s also a Tom Fazio-designed golf course operated by the resort.
