I was lucky enough to attend the first Hot Glass Craft Beer Festival in Americus, Georgia, which is the most unique beer festival I’ve been to. It combines craft beer from around the state of Georgia, along with some wine and locally made whiskey and rum, with glass blowing artisans. Tasting glasses are made locally. Live demonstrations take place along with live music. Local restaurants also set up food tents. It’s totally unexpected for such a small town but showcases the best the city and region have to offer.
