Based on the 1990s videogame, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars alongside Joe Manganiello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Malin Akerman. A primatologist shares a bond with the gorilla he has cared for since birth. But a genetic experience turns him into a monster and he is the only one that can stop the creature from destruction. Filming took place at Stone Mountain Park, Zoo Atlanta, and Sweetwater Creek State Park.
