The movie ’42’ tells the life story of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, who made history when he signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Robinson endures abuse because of his race but goes on to become one of the most respected athletes of all time.
It stars Harrison Ford, T.R. Knight, and the late Chadwick Boseman as Robinson. The movie is actually filmed in many of the areas where Robinson played in real baseball parks like Birmingham’s Rickwood Field and Chattanooga’s Engel Stadium.
