Caroline’s life as a writer started with an internship at the Charleston City Paper during her time at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. It later developed into her first freelance gig.
During that time she was blogging for fun, but it quickly became much more when she devoted Caroline in the City to her travels, college life, and exploits in Charleston.
Since then she has created content for BBC Travel, National Geographic Traveler, and Fodor’s, as well as the book This Is My South: The Essential Travel Guide to the Southern States.

Sammi is a nature lover at heart and received her bachelors and masters degrees from Appalachian State University. She has worked as a backpacking instructor in North Carolina, and in the environmental education field for the Georgia 4-H program, Zoo Atlanta, and the Tennessee Aquarium. Her area of expertise is in finding the best hikes throughout the southern states.

Rachel is a journalism graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens. She is an expert on finding the best coffee shops and vintage stores throughout the South.
