The Ritz-Carlton brand is one of the world’s most luxurious, and Georgia has a handful of properties. The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee is the only one outside of the city of Atlanta. Set outside of the town of Greensboro in Georgia’s Lake Country, there is no shortage of activities for guests staying at the resort or for those who want to venture out into the nearby towns.

The rooms are inspired by their surroundings with elements of Native American icons. Rooms come equipped with flat-screen televisions and Nespresso coffee makers as well as bathrobes. There is also a premium minibar and fridge.

WiFi is included within the rate. There are both lake and resort views, some with balconies and others with outdoor fireplaces. In addition to the hotel rooms and luxury suites, the resort also has private cottages for larger groups.

Dining at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Oconee

There are four restaurants and bars, as well as private dining experiences. Georgia’s is open for breakfast and dinne,r including Southern dishes like biscuits and gravy. Gaby’s by the Lake is a casual poolside option with fish tacos and burgers.

Linger Longer Steakhouse is at the golf course clubhouse with classic steakhouse fare. The candied bacon, tuna poke, and creamy mashed potatoes are also highlights. There’s also a coffee shop serving Starbucks.

The Barrel Room is the resort’s watering hole with an extensive collection of whiskeys and Georgia craft beer. The infinity pool that overlooks the lake also has bar service with comfy chairs and towels.

In addition, guests can borrow kayaks and canoes or go out on the lake with a guide. There are daily activities like s’mores. Guests can also take advantage of the spa facilities, including massages, saunas, and hot tubs.

The resort has five golf courses, including the Rees Jones-designed Oconee course. There’s also the Landing and Preserve courses designed by Bob Cupp, the National by Tom Fazio, and Great Waters by Jack Nicklaus.

Ritz Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee even has TaylorMade outfitting services at the Reynolds Kingdom of Golf. It’s also only an hour and a half from Augusta National, making it a popular place to stay during the Masters.

Infinity Pool

The Sandy Creek Barn facility is home to their sporting grounds with an 1820s barn for special events and ranges for archery and clay shooting.

Tips for Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Oconee

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee is located at 1 Lake Oconee Trail, Greensboro, Georgia 30642, around an hour and a half from Atlanta and the same distance from Augusta.
