A few years ago a friend and I drove up to Blacksburg, VA on a whim to visit her brother and to attend a Virginia Tech football game.
While I was wholly unprepared for the cold weather, the town itself was a great college town with a main street lined with bars and restaurants.
It’s surrounded by mountains and at least three hours from a major city, so VT students learn how to keep themselves entertained.
