Located in Butts County south of Atlanta, this small town was first settled in 1826 but burned during Sherman’s March to the Sea. Textile mills developed the economy before business in Atlanta made most residents commuters.
Today, it’s home to a population of around 5,000 people but is best known for the recent film industry. Popular series like The Originals and Stranger Things have used the town as a backdrop.
