Margaritaville Island Hotel

The Great Smoky Mountains have some quirky places to stay, including where it is Christmas year-round, but Margaritaville Island Hotel may be the most unique.

Mississippi-born Jimmy Buffett‘s brand of restaurants, casinos, and hotels has locations throughout Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Caribbean. But the Pigeon Forge location brings the atmosphere of the islands to Tennessee year-round.

Guest rooms overlook the Little Pigeon River or the entertainment complex below, but all have balconies. Rooms are decorated in a tasteful island theme in king and queen options as well as penthouse suites.

Rooms come with WiFi, flat-screen televisions, in-room coffee makers, mini-fridges, and a fireplace. Bathrooms have large showers with top-notch toiletries. They also have their own margarita machines, so bring the materials you need for a cocktail!

If you’re looking for a more family-friendly experience, the new Margaritaville Island Inn is just across the parking lot. They also have a pool and more basic amenities than the hotel but also has complimentary breakfast.

There’s a rooftop pool with a hot tub and cabanas. The St. Somewhere Spa is the best around, providing massage and other treatments. The hotel also has a fitness center. Attractions like Dollywood and those in Gatlinburg are a short drive away.

The Margaritaville Island Hotel has a number of dining options. Margaritaville Restaurant is Buffet’s signature chain, serving cocktails and island-inspired dishes. Changes in Latitude Restaurant and Bar is the lobby bar, with light bites and daily margarita specials.

Grab a jolt at the Margaritaville coffee shop, which has coffee drinks and pastries. The Rooftop Pool and Chill Bar is open seasonally for burgers and cocktails. The Island has even more options including countless restaurants, shops, a moonshine distillery, and the Ferris wheel.

Margaritaville Island Hotel is located at 131 Island Drive, Suite 5118, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 37863. Parking is included with your stay, but valet costs extra. Rates start at $280 per night for standard rooms on weekends. Book your stay by visiting their website or calling (844) 434-6787.

Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge hosted my stay for two nights as well as a spa treatment, but opinions are my own.
