"The Literary Capital of Alabama" is a small town of 6,519 residents by the name of Monroeville. Founded in the early 1800's this town is located a couple of hours from Montgomery. Gadsden, Alabama is a town of 36,000 located northeast of Birmingham. The town was once a large hub for boat, tire, and steel production. It still has the small-town feel in the historic downtown.
