The Hotel Chalet at The Choo Choo is a boutique hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offering a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Situated at the former Terminal Station, a Beaux-Arts-style train station built in 1909, the hotel is part of the iconic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, named for the famous song. It opened in 2023.

Rooms at The Hotel Chalet

The hotel features 127 guest rooms, including 25 restored Pullman train cars dating from the 1920s to the 1960s. All of the rooms have luxury bedding, coffee makers, and mini fridges stocked with local snacks and bites.

The train cars have trundles for added guests, and some of the hotel rooms have patios. There’s even a train suite that can accommodate four people. Guests can enjoy the seasonal on-site pool and fitness center. There’s also a shop in the lobby selling essentials like toiletries and snacks.

Eating and Drinking at The Hotel Chalet

Elsie’s Daughter is the onsite restaurant that blends Appalachian traditions with casual French culinary influences. The cafe in the lobby has breakfast and pastries every morning. The Caboose bar serves drinks and food for the poolside crowd.

The Choo Choo complex has several bars and restaurants, including Gate 11 Distillery and Frothy Monkey, plus a comedy club and a music venue. The surrounding Southside neighborhood is also full of incredible eateries like Bluegrass Grill and Main Street Meats.
