A dying woman moves to a retirement community and forms a cheerleading squad with the help of her new friends. They enter a competition, despite their unusual team.

Based on a true story, the movie stars Diane Keaton, Rhea Perlman, and Jackie Weaver. Filming took place in Hampton and Griffin, suburbs south of Atlanta.

    Was the Movie Poms filmed at an actual retirement community in the Atlanta area? If so which community?

    At the very beginning there’s a gas station she stops at in NY on the phone that looks INSANELY familiar to one I grew up next to. Anyone know where that is

      It’s on Hwy 92 south in Fayette near Spalding county line. I had to rewind it to see it again.

    It looks a lot like the high school I work at which is Dutchtown High School in Hampton, GA. My parents also live in Sun City. They told me they met and spoke to Diane Keaton while they were filming the movie.
