Barnesville, Georgia was founded in 1826 and was the site of a major Civil War hospital. It was a major hub for the buggy-making industry. The town has a population of less than 7,000 people. Every year, they hold their BBQ & Blues Festival, Summer in the Sticks Country Music Concert, and the Buggy Days Festival. Downtown is centered around City Hall and the old train depot.
