Clarksdale, Mississippi is known as ground zero for the blues, with more blues venues than anywhere else. It’s where the Ground Zero Blues Club, co-owned by Morgan Freeman, hosts musicians nightly and has some of the best hot tamales around. It has a population of around 18,000 and has a number of museums and experiences related to the blues.
