As one of Georgia’s Golden Isles, Cumberland Island is only accessible by boat. It is now owned by the National Park Service, which you must contact to make campsite reservations. Cumberland Island is home to the ruins of the Carnegie mansion Dungeness as well as Brack Chapel of the First African Baptist Church, where John F. Kennedy Jr. married Carolyn Bessette, pictured above.
