Natchitoches, Louisiana is one of the most charming small towns in the South. It was the setting and filming location for the book and film versions of Steel Magnolias. You can stay in the home featured, now a bed and breakfast, and walk around the riverside park where the Easter egg scene took place. It’s also home to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, Fort Saint-Jean Baptiste, and a thriving downtown full of shops and restaurants.
