On the small coastal road between Savannah and Charleston lies South Newport, Georgia, known for the “Smallest Church in America,” one of my favorite kitschy landmarks. It has a few pews and only has enough room for a few people to stand inside of it at a time. It’s well worth a stop if you’re traveling by Coastal Highway 17.
