August 25, 2026 By Caroline Eubanks Leave a Comment

Southall
Southall

Southall Farm & Inn is a luxury, eco-minded farm resort nestled across more than 325 acres of rolling countryside in Franklin, Tennessee, just south of Nashville. Opened in 2022 after many years in the works, the retreat seamlessly blends classic Southern hospitality with sustainable luxury, high-end wellness, and hyper-local gastronomy.

The main Inn houses 62 guest rooms and suites. Each comes with curated snacks available for purchase, and coffee is available daily in the lobby, which resembles a mountain lodge, with exposed beams and cozy seating. Expect four-poster beds, vintage-inspired furnishings, and luxury linens in guest rooms.

Southall also offers 16 standalone hillside cottages, ranging from one to two bedrooms, many with a private porch, a wood-burning fireplace, and a custom swing bed.

Eating and Drinking at Southall

Southall has several dining options open exclusively to guests. The signature restaurant, honored with a Michelin Green Star, is January, with seasonally inspired tasting menus. Sojourner is casual and open all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including biscuits and gravy like the one pictured above.

The resort also has The Jammery, a preservation kitchen with tasting dinners from the culinary team highlighting pickles and fermented items, and The Farmstand, which has to-go dishes. There’s a coffee cart nearby and Dottie’s Speakeasy, a cocktail bar hidden away for guests in the know, where you can enjoy live music on weekends.

Amenities at Southall

The Farmstand

The best thing to do at Southall is disconnect, wandering the grounds or touring the working farm. The property has a manmade lake available for kayaking and canoeing, a 2,000-tree orchard, and an apiary producing award-winning honey. The farm offers beekeeping demonstrations and cooking classes. Many activities are included within your stay.

Hit the nine hiking trails on foot or mountain bike, or take advantage of nearby fly fishing and an aerial ropes course. For a dose of zen, the resort offers daily morning yoga, sound baths, and forest bathing, plus a 15,000-square-foot spa for treatments and an outdoor heated mineral pool overlooking the lake.

Tips for Staying at Southall

Southall Inn is located at 2200 Osage Loop, Franklin, Tennessee 37064. Rates start at $595 per night. Dogs are welcome with a pet fee. Valet parking is included in the rates. Book your stay by visiting the website or calling (615) 282-2000. Plan ahead for major events like Pilgrimage Music Festival.
