Chattanooga used to be a place where you’d only find large chain hotels, but the accommodation scene is rapidly changing. The Chattanoogan is just one of many properties to break the trend a decade ago. The luxury hotel and conference center boasts views of Lookout Mountain. Located between downtown’s attractions and the Southside’s restaurant scene, both are within walking distance, along with Warehouse Row, a trendy dining and shopping development.
The Chattanoogan has 198 guestrooms and suites in king and double beds as well as over 25,000 square feet of meeting space. Guest rooms all include stylish furnishings, pillowtop mattresses, flat screen televisions, workstations, refrigerators, coffee makers, high-speed Internet, and access to the hotel’s heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, and fitness center.
In addition to these amenities, the hotel has a day spa with a steam room, sauna and fitness center, a patio, and a business center. There are also three dining options within the hotel. Broad Street Grille serves regional American fare while The Foundry has a casual bistro menu with a game room and live music. Stroud’s is a sidewalk cafe offering coffee, sandwiches, and desserts.
The entire city of Chattanooga is easy to get around, so you likely won’t need your car. The hotel has valet parking, but you can find other parking options nearby. The free shuttle bus runs between the area around the Tennessee Aquarium and the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel so you can pick it up in either direction. The Bike Chattanooga bike share program also has docking stations along Broad Street.
