Macon, Georgia is known for its Antebellum homes and Georgia music landmarks. But the new Hotel Forty-Five is the newest addition to the historic downtown. The hotel gets its name from the forty-five-degree angle it sits at.
A number of features from the building’s past as a Banker’s Health & Life Insurance Company remain, including a directory with the original office inhabitants. The tile floor and elevators are part of the Art Deco-inspired design, along with the architectural features. Best of all, it’s a short walk from the city’s attractions.

Eating and Drinking at Hotel Forty-Five

Hotel Forty-Five has three food and beverage outlets so you don’t have to go far for a good meal. Loom is a full-service restaurant with a heavy emphasis on Southern ingredients, named for the mills once found in Macon. The crab cakes and pork belly carbonara are menu highlights.
Hightales Rooftop Bar is on the sixth floor of the hotel and has many of the same drinks as at Loom, named for various Macon figures. Start your morning (or evening) at Reckon Coffee & Wine Bar, which has various coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches.
