Hotel Simone is the newest hotel to open on St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, and the first purpose-built property in decades. I stayed at the King and Prince Resort many years ago but was excited to see this stylish (and adults-only) boutique hotel.
Rooms at Hotel Simone

The 24 all-suite rooms are decorated in colorful artwork, wallpaper, and furnishings that give the “island time” vibe. They have king beds and a sofa bed with flatscreen televisions, espresso machines, refrigerators, sinks, plates, and free WiFi.
Some rooms are pet-friendly and others have balconies and additional kitchen space. The rooms also have large closets with comfy robes and luxury toiletries in the bathroom. For larger groups, you can even rent the adjacent rental homes.
Amenities at Hotel Simone

Guests get a number of perks like rental bikes, free parking, and chairs, towels, and umbrellas to borrow for the beach. From 12-9 pm daily, you can take advantage of the free electric shuttle to go to the beach or nearby restaurants.

The hotel is also a short walk from the beach, the St. Simon’s Lighthouse, and plenty of shops and restaurants. Barrier Island Brewing is right next door.
Hotel Simone also has a rooftop pool and fitness center. Because there are only three floors, you can take the elevator or use the stairs.
Dining at Hotel Simone

The hotel usually offers free breakfast but as a safety protocol, has switched to offering a welcome drink in the lounge instead. The lobby bar has local craft beer and spirits from nearby Brunswick.
The hotel has enacted COVID protocols like discontinuing the breakfast bar and wearing masks. Hand sanitizer is found in the lobby. Because of the property’s small size, you don’t have to worry about crowded elevators and spaces. The staff is also very friendly and professional.
