Southern Stays: Loews Atlanta Midtown Hotel

July 25, 2016 By Caroline Eubanks Leave a Comment

Loews Atlanta Midtown
Loews Atlanta Midtown

Atlanta, Georgia has many hotels, especially top-name brands, but there’s only one Loews. While most visitors stay downtown or in Buckhead, the Midtown area is the ideal location, especially if you’re traveling on business or in town for an event like the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival or any event in Piedmont Park.

The hotel is a short walk from two MARTA stations, including Midtown Station, and a number of museums and restaurants. The Margaret Mitchell House and Museum and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Museum are just a few of the best.

Rooms at Loews Atlanta Midtown Hotel

The hotel features 26 floors with over 400 rooms including 44 suites like the one I stayed in, pictured above. Each offers unrivaled views of the city, free WiFi, coffee service, flat-screen television, desk space, and more.

Some rooms have blackout curtains or doors to keep out light. King or double beds have quality cotton linens and the bathrooms have frameless glass showers, separate bathtubs, and cozy bathrobes.

Amenities of the hotel include a spa, fitness center, event space, business center, in-house restaurant and bar, complimentary car service, and concierge. The fitness center is available for all guests, including weights and treadmills.

Exhale Spa has daily classes like barre and yoga, while the spa offers acupuncture, massage, facials, and even a traditional Turkish hammam for a small fee. Pet lovers can rejoice that their pals are welcome during their stay.

Dining at the Loews Atlanta Hotel

The Loews Atlanta lobby features a bar that is buzzing with activity every night of the week. They serve handcrafted cocktails, wines, and craft beers. Across the lobby is Saltwood, the hotel’s in-house restaurant that focuses on charcuterie and other small plates. But they also have healthy options like their vegan-friendly tofu and farro bowl with curry sauce. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.

Tips for Staying at the Loews Atlanta Hotel

Loews Atlanta Hotel is located at 1065 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, Georgia, 30309. Rates start at around $200 per night and go up from there. Book by calling 1-888-563-9736 or visiting their website. Parking is not included but your options are self-parking in the deck or valet parking.

My stay at the Loews Atlanta Midtown Hotel was a part of a sponsored campaign, but all opinions are my own.
