Set among three of Miami Beach’s classic Art Deco buildings, The Catalina Hotel is in the heart of the city, with easy access to the beach and attractions. Miami can be a rather expensive destination, especially the big-name oceanfront hotels. So this property is nice if you don’t want to break the bank but still experience all the city has to offer.
Rooms at The Catalina Hotel

Rooms vary in size but have ensuite bathrooms, televisions, closets, and a mini bar. Bathrooms come with hair dryers and toiletries. Our room was a bit dark because there was only one small window. Hallways are a bit narrow because of the age of the building and rooms off the lobby can get loud. Common areas are decorated in colorful artwork.

Amenities at The Catalina Hotel
Amenities include a rooftop pool and another courtyard pool, both with access to bars. The rooftop pool has day beds for rent that you can get for free with a $50 food and drink purchase. There are also two restaurants, including a Mexican restaurant. The cafe offers breakfast all day as well as a free happy hour for guests.

Overall, it’s a budget-level hotel with some great amenities close to everything, but you get what you pay for. It’s just a few blocks from the beach and the restaurants and shops of Lincoln Road Mall. They also offer a free airport shuttle.
