The five-star Equestrian Hotel is located in the city of Ocala, Florida, set between Gainesville and Orlando. It is known for its ties to the equestrian industry, dating back to 1943. An Ocala-raised horse went on to win the Kentucky Derby, and celebs like John Travolta come here to care for their horses.

The hotel is located at the World Equestrian Center, known as the “Disney World” of horses, where owners bring their horses to compete for a hefty prize purse, with several shops and restaurants. The luxury AAA Four Diamond Resort has horse details around every corner, along with shops, restaurants, and a master sommelier.

The 248 guest rooms at The Equestrian Hotel are large in scale, with double queen or king beds. There are also one-bedroom and vice presidential suites, plus an attached RV park. The rooms have views of the arena and sprawling bathrooms with large tubs and showers with luxury toiletries. There’s also a living area with a mini fridge and coffee maker, plus a work desk and free WiFi.

Guests of The Equestrian Hotel can, of course, take advantage of all that the World Equestrian Center has to offer. The property also has a wide range of animal and equestrian-inspired artwork, a zero-entry pool, a fitness center, a nearby spa, and onsite shopping, including a luxury jewelry store and toy store. There are also coffee stations set out every morning. Golf cart rental is also available.

Dining at The Equestrian Hotel

The Equestrian Hotel has many restaurants, and that doesn’t even include what’s on the WEC’s campus. Emma’s Patisserie offers coffee and artisan pastries made fresh, along with cakes and other treats for celebrations.

Stirrups Restaurant is a fine dining establishment with indoor and outdoor seating. The Yellow Pony Pub is a popular watering hole, with an extensive menu of elevated pub fare and whiskey. Horse to Water is the pool bar and restaurant.
