There isn’t a large selection of hotels in central Charlotte, but luckily the ones that are there are great ones. The Westin Charlotte is no exception, located steps away from attractions like the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the Mint Museum UPTOWN. It’s also next to the Stonewall Station on the LYNX Light Rail, connecting “uptown” Charlotte to the rest of the city.

A friend of mine recommended a corner room and once I checked in, I understood why. Windows on two sides offer views of the city, even from the bathtub. The Westin signature Heavenly Bed is just as I remembered it from a previous Westin stay. Blackout curtains add to your restful night’s sleep. Rooms come standard with a desk, alarm clock, and television.
The hotel offers complimentary WiFi in the lobby and for a fee in your room. They also have an in-house restaurant and coffee shop. Guests can work out in their pool and fitness center and even borrow gear through the New Balance gear lending program. There’s even a spa to keep you feeling relaxed during your stay.
If you decline cleaning services to save water and resources, you will receive a $5 voucher or Starwood Points. The hotel is also a popular place for weddings, conferences, and events. Rates start at $250 per night for the standard king and double rooms. Prices go up for deluxe rooms, superior rooms, and suites.
The hotel is located at 601 S. College Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28202. To book a reservation, call 866-837-4148 or book through their website.
I received a media rate negotiated by the Charlotte Regional Visitor’s Authority, but all opinions are my own.
