Small Town Saturday

Small Town Saturday: Key Largo, FL

June 22, 2013 By Caroline Eubanks Leave a Comment

I'm not sure if a small island in the Florida Keys qualifies as a small town, but it does consist of only 15 square miles. I was visiting the key as a part of my Ultimate Florida Road Trip and stopped here to attend the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival, which I hope to write about soon, find the African Queen, as well as go scuba diving. I was attending the festival's opening … [Read more...] about Small Town Saturday: Key Largo, FL

Small Town Saturday: Young Harris, GA

This photo was snapped on a particularly rainy day at Crane Creek Vineyards in Young Harris, GA during my post-trip for the Georgia Travel Media Marketplace. The small town of less than 1,000 people is known for Young Harris College, a small school where my mom spent two years. It's also home to the stunning Brasstown Valley Resort. Interested in seeing your small town photo featured on Small Town Saturday? Send me an … [Read more...] about Small Town Saturday: Homestead, FL

Small Town Saturday: Oxford, MS

These red icons are the real deal, imported from England about 19 years ago and now carry visitors on a guided tour of University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) campus and Oxford. In April is the annual Double Decker Arts Festival, named after the red buses. In its 18th year, the festival … [Read more...] about Small Town Saturday: Oxford, MS

Small Town Saturday: Greensboro, GA

May 25, 2013 By Caroline Eubanks Leave a Comment

I fell hard for Greensboro, Georgia, where I felt like I had stepped out of The Andy Griffith Show or even Gilmore Girls. The downtown is straight out of a movie, full of antique stores, markets, and the Yesterday Cafe, whose world-famous buttermilk pie was served at the wedding of Carrie Underwood at the nearby Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation. Interested in … [Read more...] about Small Town Saturday: Greensboro, GA
