Johns Islands is one of the barrier islands surrounding Charleston, South Carolina. It's much more rural than the other islands and is home to the Angel Oak, a 400-500-year-old Southern live oak tree known as "the oldest living thing east of the Mississippi." The Greek Revival church was built in the 1700s but burned by the British during the Revolutionary War.
