While there are food festivals all over the South, Euphoria has carved out a unique space as the place where both chefs and foodies can come together. Those in the industry are just as likely to geek out over their favorite chefs.
The festivities take place all over downtown Greenville, South Carolina over the course of a weekend and was founded in 2006 by singer Edwin McCain and restaurateur Carl Sobocinski. The events also support local non-profits.
Tips for Attending Euphoria Greenville
1. Choose your event.
There are multiple types of tastings and demos, so plan in advance according to what experience you’re looking for. The Feast by the Field is like the tasting tents at other food festivals and is the most popular. But Taste of the South is another favorite with live music and tastings along the Reedy River. Don’t miss out on classes with experts to bring your home cooking up a notch and daytime events like bike rides.
2. Buy tickets early.
Some events do sell out well in advance of the event, so start planning your trip to Euphoria a few months out at least. Sign up for their newsletter to stay in the loop.

3. Find the food first.
It’s easy to get distracted by all of the booths and tables at the events, but food does run out before drinks. Hit up the food tables as soon as possible before grabbing drinks. You want to make sure to have plenty in your stomach before imbibing.
4. Stay downtown.
The festival has partner hotels that allow you to book your tickets in a package, with the Hyatt Regency serving as the main hotel. The Westin Poinsett is another option. But you’ll be glad you stayed in town and didn’t have to worry about getting your car from the valet. Most events are within walking distance of downtown hotels.

5. Use rideshare services.
If you do have to drive beyond downtown, take advantage of rideshare services like Lyft and Uber. There’s no excuse to drive under the influence!
Tickets and ticket packages range from $35 to $1,195 including classes, chef demonstrations, and parties.
