One fun part of visiting Walt Disney World is dressing like your favorite characters. There’s even a whole category of cosplay called “Disneybound.”
You’ll find countless outfit inspirations on social media alone. This is appropriate for all ages and is especially fun for groups, whether you’re visiting as a family, bachelorette party, or fan event.
Many of easy outfits for Disney use items can be found in your house already or borrowed. The rest can be purchased at craft stores, secondhand and thrift stores, and party supply stores. Costumes aren’t actually allowed, but outfits inspired by them are.
This post includes lesser done Disneybound outfits as there are plenty of suggestions for the big characters. We’ve also mentioned where you can snap the best photos around the parks in your ensemble. Best of all, these easy Disneybound outfits are functional for rides! Need more ideas? Disney Style has plenty.
Get your Walt Disney World tickets for entry into the parks or hire a Walt Disney World Private Guide to help you see as much as possible.
Winnie the Pooh

For a classic Disneybound look, dress up as Winnie the Pooh. You can add in his friends Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet from the Hundred Acre Wood for a fun group outfit. Every item is easy to find online and uses mostly basic pieces you can reuse!
What You’ll Need
- Women’s Red Cotton Basic Scoop Neck Crop Top
- Women’s Yellow Spaghetti Strap Jumpsuits
- Ears made from headband and craft store felt (Tutorial here)
- Yellow sneakers
- (Optional) Hunny Pot purse
Where to Pose: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride through the Hundred Acre Wood at the Magic Kingdom is the best place to hang with Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.
Frida Kahlo from Coco

The cast of Coco makes for a great Disneybound outfit because of the colorful Mexican-inspired attire. Frida Kahlo, named for the artist, is introduced to Miguel Rivera in the Land of the Dead.
For my outfit, I chose to follow the style of Frida Kahlo using a vintage dress I found at a thrift store. You can also draw in thick eyebrows like the artist.
What You’ll Need
- Mexican-style embroidered dress
- Flower Crown (DIY here)
- (Optional) Skull earrings
- (Optional) Leather sandals
- (Optional) Monkey purse
Where to Pose: In Epcot‘s Mexico area, visit the Mexican Folk Art Gallery for handmade goods and the perfect backdrop for photos. It’s also where you’ll find Mariachi Cobre, the Coco-inspired show.
The Incredibles

The family of superheroes is the perfect Disneybound ensemble for families and groups. Mr. Incredible is known for his strength while Elastigirl can stretch herself. They learn that their children also have abilities, making them a crime-fighting family.
Their look is easy to source from what you have at home. Note that masks aren’t allowed within the parks, but you can wear it as a headband.
What You’ll Need
- Red T-shirt with sticker (DIY here)
- Black leggings or black skirt
- Black gloves
- Black shoes
- (Optional) Black mask
Where to Pose: At Hollywood Studios, stop by the Incredible Celebration where you can have your photo taken with Edna or shop for Incredibles-themed souvenirs.
Princess Leia from Star Wars

What’s more iconic a look than Princess Leia? You’ll see plenty of other Disney looks but Star Wars-inspired Disneybound isn’t quite as popular. The Leia outfit is easy to pull together with a simple white dress and the iconic hairstyle.
What You’ll Need
- White dress (mine is from BCBG)
- Metallic belt
- White boots
- Hair in buns (Tutorial here) or Buns Mouse Ears
- (Optional) R2D2 purse
Where to Pose: Where else? Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios! The marketplace makes a great otherworldly backdrop for your photos. Another great spot is in front of the iconic Millennium Falcon.
Darla from Finding Nemo

The badly behaved Darla almost kept Nemo from reuniting with his dad. Her look is priceless with mismatched patterns and that unavoidable headgear. The less popular Disneybound is lots of fun when you’re recognized!
What You’ll Need
- Purple sweater or shirt
- Plaid skirt
- Hair in high pigtails
- (Optional) Headgear made from aluminum foil
- (Optional) Nemo purse
Where to Pose: Epcot has The Seas with Nemo and Friends, a ride to reunite father and son, but there’s also an aquarium area perfect for a photo op.
Mary Poppins

The most incredible nanny, Mary Poppins, provides endless Disneybound outfits throughout the film. I went with the simplest, which involved many things I already had at home. If you’re looking for a group cosplay, you can add in Bert and the penguins.
What You’ll Need
- White-collared shirt
- Red bow from craft store
- Black skirt
- Black tights
- Black shoes
- (Optional) Bowler hat with flowers from a craft store
- (Optional) Umbrella
- (Optional) Carpet bag
Where to Pose: The streets of the United Kingdom area at Epcot are the perfect backdrop for Mary Poppins photos. There will soon be a themed ride in this area as well.
