
Voted one of the best hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure, the Heights House Hotel in Raleigh, North Carolina was originally Montford Hall, a circa 1858 Italiannate home in the Boylan Heights neighborhood. It was purchased by a local couple in 2018 and completely restored, bringing it back to its National Historic Landmark status.
There are four parlors with seating areas and the original stained glass window. The design aesthetic is stylishly minimalist, with chandeliers, kilim rugs, antiques, and bookshelves.
