Downtown Atlanta has been without a newly built hotel for 40 years until the opening of the Signia by Hilton Atlanta Hotel in January of 2024 on the site of the former Georgia Dome. It’s set right next to Mercedes Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons football and Atlanta United soccer club.

Spread across 42 floors, the hotel has eight restaurants and over 900 rooms plus meeting rooms inspired by the 1996 Olympics. It’s only the third of the Signia brand. The hotel also connects to the Georgia World Congress Center through a pathway, making it convenient for first-time visitors or conference attendees.

My stay was hosted by the hotel but all opinions are my own.

The hotel boasts 976 guest rooms, including 70 suites. Of those, around 80 are included in Club Signia, with access to the downstairs club and its all-day food and drink offerings. There are also 11 wellness level rooms with Peloton bikes, located on the same floor as the spa and fitness center. Rooms come with Nespresso coffee makers, refrigerators, and NEST toiletries.

There are eight bars and restaurants spread across the hotel. The one you can’t miss is Capolinea, the fine dining Italian restaurant. It’s an instant favorite for the steaks, hand-made pasta, and martini cart that makes your drink tableside. Nest on Four is a sports bar overlooking the stadium with televisions for catching games with craft beer on tap with burgers and shareables.

Homespun is the breakfast spot with a buffet and menu of Southern favorites. The Friendship Market has grab and go coffee and sandwiches plus treats from local brands. The Lobby Bar has a starry ceiling and great drinks. Highball is open seasonally by the pool.

Amenities at the Signia Atlanta

The hotel has a spa and sauna with a beauty bar for manicures and pedicures along with a seasonal outdoor pool overlooking the city. The fitness center is equipped with Peloton and Technogym equipment.

What to Do Nearby

It’s the most convenient hotel for sports fans, especially those attending upcoming World Cup matches. The College Football Hall of Fame is a few blocks away, with interactive exhibits on different SEC college teams.

Centennial Olympic Park is also nearby with several attractions, including the World of Coca-Cola, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, and the Georgia Aquarium. In historic Vine City, the Herndon House Museum is a must-see, the former home of Alonzo Herndon, Atlanta’s first African American millionaire and founder of Atlanta Life Insurance.

Tips for Staying at the Signia Atlanta

The Signia by Hilton Atlanta Hotel is located at 159 Northside Drive Northwest, Atlanta, Georgia 30313. Valet parking is available for $60 per day. You can also reach the hotel by public transportation, as it’s around the corner from both the Vine City and Georgia World Congress Center MARTA Stations.
