Travelers Rest, South Carolina was formerly home to Catawba, Creek and Cherokee tribes and a popular stopover on the wagon trails. Located twenty minutes from Greenville, Travelers Rest has a small town feel with big city amenities, like the Swamp Rabbit Trail bike path and a local brewery and distillery. Furman University is located in the town of 4,500 full time residents. The mural pictured above celebrates the three modes of travel that made Travelers Rest famous.
