The Oliver Hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee, is a small, intimate boutique hotel with just 28 rooms and suites, blending historic charm with modern comforts. It’s housed in a renovated 1876 building that was originally the Peter Kern Bakery, giving the property a unique architectural and local history vibe.

Located in Market Square, it’s one of the best places to stay in Knoxville, overlooking Market Square. It’s from the same team as Hotel Clermont, with a similarly stylish design and a small shop with locally made items.

The spacious king and queen rooms and suites are pet-friendly, overlooking Market Square, complete with flat-screen televisions, fridges, and coffee makers. The suites have a mini bar area and a couch that pulls out into a bed.

Amenities at the Oliver Hotel

Guests enjoy free WiFi throughout the property, plus an in-room coffee machine. The property also has coffee in the lobby throughout the day for guests. The Oliver also has a fitness center and bikes for navigating around the city.

Ramen at Oliver Royale

The Oliver Hotel is well located for dining at the best downtown Knoxville eateries, but you also don’t have to leave the building. Oliver Royale is the hotel’s signature restaurant, with seasonal and local dishes like the Southern ramen, pictured above.

There’s an outpost of Tupelo Honey Cafe, an all-day Southern cafe that started in Asheville. Peter Kern Library is the hotel’s speakeasy, accessible by an alleyway to the public, but with special considerations for hotel guests.

Tips for Staying at the Oliver Hotel

The Oliver Hotel is located at 407 Union Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902. Rates start around $185 per night. Valet parking is $35 per night, or you can use the nearby decks for self-parking. Book your stay by calling (865) 521-0050 or visiting the website.
